  1. My father was the manager of Middletons in Boundary road. They were wholesale chemists and they had a lab chem division at 373 Cannon Street. The place in Cannon Street is now a D.I.Y. warehouse, next door to Stan Thompsons. I’m afraid I don’t know the number of the place in Boundary Road but in 1965/66 they moved to join up with the Cannon Street premises. I remember before they close the branch in about 1987/88 the council asked him to change his address but he was adamant that Cannon Street would live on if only in his address and he got Stan Thompson on his side. I don’t know if that stays the same or not.
